Roadmap & Known Issues
Genova is in active development. Here's a transparent look at known limitations, ongoing fixes, and upcoming features.
The global search currently requires exact word matches. "One Piece FR" won't find "One Piece". We're working on a more flexible search algorithm.
Media3 & VLC are being stabilized. Some audio codecs are missing and Picture-in-Picture (PiP) is currently disabled due to a regression.
The "Up Next" auto-play triggers exactly at the video's end instead of shortly before. Continue Watching saves too early. Both are being adjusted.
We are completely redesigning the adaptive layouts for better platform-specific ergonomics (mobile vs. tablet vs. TV screens).
A new dedicated Home tab featuring personalized recommendations, newly added content, and your Continue Watching queue.
Bringing the Genova experience to macOS, Windows, Linux, and iPhone natively in upcoming releases.
Platforms
Genova is being built as a true multiplatform app. Start on Android today.
Install the stable release from Google Play, or opt into the public beta to get new features first — you can switch back at any time.
FAQ

Yes, Genova is free to use. A pricing model (such as a freemium plan with premium features) is being considered for the future; any change will be announced in the app and in our Terms of Service beforehand.

Both come from Google Play. The stable release is the tested build everyone gets by default. The public beta ships the same builds earlier, so you see new features first and may hit rough edges. Opting in and out is free and reversible.
