Terms of Service – Genova IPTV

Introduction

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Genova IPTV application (“Genova”, “the app”) across all supported platforms (Android, iOS, tvOS, macOS, Windows, Linux, Android TV).

By downloading, installing, or using Genova, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Service Description

Genova is an IPTV player, currently free to use. It lets you connect your own IPTV sources — Xtream Codes credentials or M3U/M3U8 playlist URLs — and organizes, caches, and plays the content those sources provide (live channels, video on demand, and series). A paid model (such as a freemium plan with premium features) is under consideration; any pricing change will be announced in the app and on this page before it takes effect.

Genova is distributed on Google Play through two channels: a stable production release and an optional public beta. Beta builds are pre-release software and may be less stable; participation is voluntary and you may leave the beta channel at any time.

Genova does not include, bundle, sell, or endorse any IPTV content, channel list, or provider subscription. You supply your own sources.

2. No Content Hosting — Third-Party IPTV Sources

Important: Genova is a player only. We do not host, provide, curate, or have any relationship with the IPTV services or content you connect to the app.

All content you stream is delivered by the third-party IPTV source (provider) you configure.
We do not monitor, control, or have access to the content streamed through your configured sources.
We are not responsible for the availability, legality, quality, or accuracy of any third-party IPTV service or content.
Your use of any third-party IPTV source is governed by that provider’s own terms of service, and you are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to access and stream the content it delivers.
We do not verify the legal status of any IPTV source you add to the app.

3. Account and Provider Configuration

Genova does not require or offer a Genova-branded account; there is no server-side account system.
Provider credentials and playlist URLs you enter are stored locally and encrypted on your device (see the Privacy Policy); they are never transmitted to us.
You are responsible for the accuracy and confidentiality of the provider credentials you configure, and for any activity that occurs through your configured sources.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Genova to:

Access content you do not have a legal right to access.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, redistribute, or otherwise circumvent the app’s proprietary software.
Violate any applicable law or the terms of any third-party IPTV service you connect.

5. Intellectual Property

Genova’s application code is proprietary and is not publicly available; the GitHub repository hosts our public-facing documentation and issue tracker, not the app’s source code. We welcome user suggestions and feedback through our community channels, but contributing feedback does not grant you any rights to the app’s code. Genova claims no ownership of, and grants no rights to, any content streamed through third-party IPTV sources. Third-party open-source components used within Genova remain governed by their own licenses.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Genova is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted/error-free operation. We do not warrant that any third-party IPTV source will remain available, functional, or lawful.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Genova team is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app or of any third-party IPTV source, including but not limited to loss of data, service interruption, or legal consequences arising from the content you choose to stream.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:

Posting the revised Terms on this page.
Updating the “Last Updated” date above.

Continued use of the app after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
